A World Without Wires

When we say the world is connected, we don't mean literally. Actually, we are kinda tethered to one place. Laptops and cellphones give us some flexibility of movement. They are "wireless". But at the end of the day we still need to plug-in our technology and recharge it. We still have that bending wire chaining us to the closest plug. And without it, we are lost.
Two or three years ago, we guessed at the technology of today. A blog from 2008 discussed what every laptop in 2010 would have. Wireless USB is mentioned. But now that future is here. A wireless laptop really exists.
Dell has unveiled a wireless laptop for the UK market. This super thin laptop is called the Latitude Z. How does it work without wires, you may ask. Well first, it can charge wirelessly. You can find out more about its features here.
The Dell Z may be one of the first wireless laptops available in the UK, but there will be others. More and more innovative technology will allow us to be mobile and flexible like never before. We have wireless printers now than can work for an entire office of laptops. Smart phones almost work like little computers and will soon zip along the internet just like our desktops. We even carry our music around with us wirelessly, to an extent. As the future approaches, its exciting to think of a world unfettered from wires.
What do you think the future of laptops will be?
