Best Tech/Marketing Books for Business People

I'm a self-described information addict. I spend tons of time each day reading things on the internet, but I also like the feel of a paper book in my hand. Today I thought about books that changed my perspective and my business. I thought I'd share some of them with you:

1. The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell: Not exactly a tech book, but explains more or less how things go viral.

2. Growing up Digital by Don Tapscott: This book was written ten years ago but still has spot on information about understanding Generation Y.

3. When Reality Hits by Nancy Berry: Are you starting to hire the generation in Growing Up Digital? Better get to know them.

4. CauseWired by Tom Watson: This book is about charity, not business. But it shows the power of online growth and where the hearts of the world are now.

5. All Marketers are Liars by Seth Godin: Anything by Seth Godin is a must read.

6. Mind of the Market by Michael Shermer: Great book about understanding the mind of the consumer, digital age and before.

7. Scientific Advertising by Claude Hopkins: This book is a standard across the board. Written in 1923 it still analyzes how to market in a way that relates to us today. (available online to download)

8. Web Analytics an Hour a Day by Avinash Kaushik: This book is one of the top rated analytics books on Amazon.

9. Problogger the Book by Darren Rowse: Darren Rowse defines blogging for money. His book includes some of his best posts in a great how-to guide for the beginner.

10. The Long Tail by Chris Anderson: After writing the article that started a whole new way to look at marketing, he wrote a book. Described as "the one book you should read this year".
