Finding Your Focus no comments
Sometimes we need to take a break from the everyday bustle and refocus. Why did we get into business in the first place? What inspired us to strike out into the unknown?
Recently I’d been going through the motions but I saw a commercial that made me stop and remember why I got into technology in the first place. You’re welcome to watch the clip and read about why I work in social media. But those moments of clarity hit us so rarely.
Here are some ways to regain your focus:
1. Take some time away from work: One of the best ways to get your focus back is to take a break. Thinking about things other than work can put your whole life into perspective. You don’t have to take a two week vacation, maybe just a bubble bath or an afternoon with a good book will do the trick.
2. Get back to basics: What problem did you want to solve when you started your business? Spend some time thinking about that. Also consider what you can do to improve those original goals.
3. Make clients a priority: If you’re having trouble remembering what motivates you, don’t worry about it. Just put more efforts into making your clients happy. If you focus on just making one person happy at a time, you may find an even great purpose than your bottom line.
4. Try something new: Got an idea that’s been rolling around in your head for a while? Why not try it out! It may sound a little crazy but it might be just the spark that gets you excited about what you do again.
What are some things you do when you need to refocus?
