Extreme Networks has introduced two new switches, Open Fabric data centre and Server rack, to make efficient cloud applications. This includes 20Tb Black Diamond X8 chassis and the Summit X60 series of server rack switches.
According to the company, high performance, low latency and energy efficiency are the main benefits of the new top of server racks switches. These Open fabric data centre products are notably helpful to the ExtremeX operating systems. Jon Oltsik, principal analyst of the group said, "This conglomeration of cloud and data centre with server racks and data centre switches will transit virtualized servers from 1GbE to 10GbE".
